Why would Twiki put a robots no-index message in the top line????

It tells the robots (spiders, programs that trawl the web looking for pages to index) not to index the page. And if every page has it, then no none of them will be indexed.

In the page header one of the meta tags is a robots no-index. That's (at least part of) why it isn't appearing in google.

I think at this point it's probably OK.....middle schoolers tease and taunt each other all day; it's a horror. I completely disapprove of the whole concept of middle school at this point. When parents tell me kids 'need the socialization' I have to FORCE myself not to be rude and dismissive.

Right. Pre-teens needs to spend 6 hours a day in the company of other pre-teens. Unsupervised.

So basically, I think that the Mrs. Roth situation has become the New Focus Of Teasing; at least I hope so.

We went through a bullying situation in 2nd grade and got it settled down rapidly, after the neighbor dad taught Christopher how to fight.

He may need a refresher course, however.

I hope at least that he knows for certain that they are wrong and he is right, and that they're saying that stuff because they're insecure (and kids are vicious by nature). I found this fabulous Fractions series at EPS.

I already had the first book, which I'd forgotten about; then when I got it out I realized it was PERFECT. The book teaches ONLY FRACTIONS, and teaches ONLY FRACTIONS on pristine white pages you can read, with each concept accompanied by drill AND THREE APPROPRIATE WORD PROBLEMS JUST LIKE KUMON.

So I ordered the next book in the series.

It's out of print.

I'm traumatized, because on the 'D+' test, Christopher said it 'wasn't too bad,' or something like that, and he sounded uncertain when he said it. (Which makes sense, because in fact he somewhat knew the material; he just didn't know any of it to mastery, and couldn't do it on a plug-and-chug exam.)

He doesn't sound quite as uncertain today, so I'm praying for a C.

So today Christopher came home and said the teacher's pet, the girl who gave him the finger yesterday, kicked him today.

The kids are calling him 'traitor.'

Then they told him, "Mrs. Roth seems a lot happier without you in the class."

Christopher said, "That's because my mom gets on her case."

I'm starting to feel sorry for Mrs. Roth.

Especially now that her former colleague told me she was always a very nice woman; no problems at all.

Of course, I'm also thinking, oh fine. She has to go Sprong the minute she meets my kid.

Surely Ms Roth is reading this blog every night and vowing hideous revenge. So I checked the most likely avenue for approach -- Google -- to see if the name "Ms Roth" brings one to our door.

The answer is no, it doesn't. But the good news is that Ms. Roths are everywhere!
