Is Bloggers the best one?

I too have problems getting here, usually I end up using an old link that worked for me from the drop-down on firefox when I start to type it in.

I've not been able to log on for two days.....God or the universe is telling me to move to Bloggers.

LOL, I read most other things through bloglines...but when I just tried to subscribe this very minute, it was down.

I too have problems getting here, usually I end up using an old link that worked for me from the drop-down on firefox when I start to type it in. That works about 70% of the time, as opposed to any sort of direct link to the main page which works about 30% of the time.

It takes many attempts and real determination to get into this site. Most of the time I get Internal Server Error. I have a high-speed connection but the site takes an awfully long time to load if I get past the ISE, which also takes long to appear. This is unfortunate because KTM is among my top three favorite sites.

I can't get on either.

I think it's time to take the plunge and just move to Blogger....

Does the rss feed work??

I'm going to have to try it.

To avoid the slowness, you can read via the RSS feed:

feed://www.kitchentablemath.net/twiki/bin/view/Kitchen/WebRss?skin=rss

or

http://www.kitchentablemath.net/twiki/bin/view/Kitchen/WebRss?skin=rss

(depending on your software, it might prefer one formulation over the other).

Then when an article is updated, you can click directly to its page, avoiding the main page entirely. Most modern browsers have built-in feed-readers (usually you'll see an icon that looks like an orange beacon or else an option to add a "live bookmark") or you can use a web-based service (bloglines or google reader, both are popular) or stand-alone software (too many to list).

Not a solution to KTM's problems, but a work-around so that they don't bother you quite as much.

Yes. These are known problems. I think the hope is to rewrite the Perl in something else, right, guys? But no one has both the knowledge and the time?

Is this what I think it is?

Is this a federal agency directing parents to a homeschooling website for help assessing their children's reading level?

If it is....then why?

Is there a particular reason why our federal government can't provide parents with help assessing their children's reading level?
