the Master Plan

  • implement fuzzy curricula in public schools supported by teacher training, professional development, and more class time for mathemathics in the school day

  • when scores rise, assume causality has been demonstrated, collect data, publish in non-peer-reviewed forums, cite liberally in public documents, professional conferences, and all exchanges with parents

  • simultaneously push ahead with revision of existing standardized mathematics tests, bringing state tests into alignment with NCTM standards

If all goes well, by the time the effects of additional teacher training & time-on-task have begun to fade, all of the old tests will be gone and the new, fraction-free, conceptual tests will be in place.

Mathematics performance will be uniformly high in all regions of the country.
