So why the award?

Congratulations - I think - I have similar problems to Carolyn.

Can we get Ed in here to translate his award for us?

-- CarolynJohnston - 17 Oct 2006

We went to the ceremony last night.

I cried.

For Ed, it was like winning the Academy Award.

50 Americans have been given this award since WWII, I think.

I still don't completely get it - it has to do with....hmm.

I'll get him to explain it.

He runs the Institute of French Studies, and is a historian of France, so the award happened because of that.

He asked me whether to have the invitation translated into English or send it in French.

I said FRENCH!

Of course!
