the name is Bond

We took Christopher to see Casino Royale this weekend.

All those folks worrying about the decline of the west and Eurabia can relax.

James Bond is back.

Way back.

We're going to see it again.

I like that one, too.

Christopher said about 10 times after the movie, "Why didn't they have the girl be naked? They kept having James Bond be naked! Why didn't they have the girl be naked? They should have had the girl be naked."

He kept this up for a couple of hours.

My indoctrination to Bond was Dr. No with Sean Connery who bedded with 1) Ursula Andress and 2) a tarantula, but I forget what order. In any event, Sean Connery has been the definitive Bond in my mind ever since. And I have to agree with Christopher!

oh yeah.....

wait'll you see this one

he's amazing

Sean Connery has been the definitive Bond for me, too

doesn't matter

Daniel Craig is incredible

a star is born-type incredible

Barry, you must see it

I actually cried a little at the end, because my dad took me to James Bond movies when I was way too young; my mom boycotted all of them because she said they were sexist (can't remember if "sexist" was the word back then)

James Bond movies were magic for me, and this one is a prequel to those movies - and it works

at the end of this movie you feel the beginning of the Connery movies

won't say more; you should see it, and relish the ending

(Ed felt the same way, btw. He doesn't have the same sentimental attachment to the old movies I do, but even so he had the exact same feeling. The ending was a valedictory and a beginning.)
