war stories part 4

Last day of school, and it's a short one — 8:30 - 10:30.

The kids attend each class of their regular school day for 10 minutes.

So I'm thinking.....what topic that's not on the curriculum can Ms. K teach the kids today to get a head start on the years to come?

Exponential and logarithmic functions perhaps?

Isn't it time for a test of the material to be covered next year? Then the teacher could start the kids off with their first low grades early.

You know, set their expectations appropriately:

  • Assess their knowledge of untaught material
  • Test the children's understanding of finding the area of geometrically impossible figures</li
  • Dock a few points for failing to center a graph title

Just the important stuff, mind; it's a short class.

Doug,

You are killing me! I'm still laughing from another post on another thread, but this one I'm going to have to save for future retorts.

I'm still wrapping my head around the fact that your kids are still in school this late! Kids in Texas start back to school only 7 or 8 weeks from now.
