this is a WIKI!
- Any registered KTM reader can create a brand new page of his own.
- Any registered KTM reader can edit any unprotected page.
- Comments pages and reader Wiki pages are unprotected. Any ktm reader can edit any Comments page, as well as any page created by a reader.
- The 'front page,' which is the blog's main page, is protected. Readers can't edit the front page. Weblog and Sidebar pages are also protected.
how to edit a Wiki page
Editing is very easy:
- Click 'edit this page' at the top of the page.
- Type a message inside the edit window.
- Click 'preview changes' to preview what you've written
- Click 'save changes' if you want to post your message.
- If you don't like what you've written, hit your browser's back button to return to the edit window and revise.
- Once you've posted your message, you can edit it again, along with anything else on the page, by clicking 'edit this page.'
- If you make a bunch of mistakes while typing in the edit window, just hit 'cancel edit' and start over.
And that's it. You can start now. Go visit a Comments page and try it.
If you're nervous, read 'more on how to edit a page':

- When you click 'Edit this page' you'll see a large editing window with some html code already inside.
- Just leave that code alone, except for the words 'Start typing your entry here.' Replace that phrase with your new stuff. [Note: as of today, the html code you see inside the editing window is more bulletproof than ever. You could erase or replace it, and the saved page would still be fine. So don't worry if you accidentally erase some of it. -- CarolynJohnston - 19 Jun 2005]
how to create your own page
- you can start your page in 3 different places on ktm:
in a comment
on someone else's page
on a group page
However, everyone will be able to find your page if you start it on the Kitchen Table Math user pages index.
personal wiki pages created by ktm readers (anyone can edit):

writing for the web
- reading text on computer screens is highly stressful
- people read web pages 25% more slowly than paper pages
- break up text into small chunks
